Last night arround 2 am @Chowdhury_Anee was arrested. Now since morning he is not in Dhanmondi police station. The law is accused must be made present to the court within 24 hours of arrest. May be he will be brought to the court within 24 hrs but question is how can he disappear from Dhamondi police station, the custodian of @Chowdhury_Anee? Police should inform his lawyers and family as to his whereabouts? @usembassydhaka #LetUsKnowHisWhereabout

In the middle of the night, police raided former Bangladeshi Law Maker, Publicity Secretary of BNP and Member Secretary of BNP Media Cell Shaheed uddin Chowdhury Anee’s residence. They forced into his home around 3 am in the morning and forcibly took him to Dhanmondi Police Station without any Warrant of Arrest. We strongly condemn ongoing atrocities committed by the present regime in Bangladesh to suppress opposition and undermine democracy.
