Its Flattery Friday! Really proud of the all the sensory panellists (new and current) and the dedicated team at NoWFOOD Research Centre, Chester. Their hard work, enthusiasm and willingness to learn is a pleasure to behold. Well done all! @NoWFOOD_UoC
Very interesting mini conference yesterday at Reading Uni organised by the Sensory Science Group of the IFST (SSG). In celebration of its 20 year anniversary. Thanks to all who helped put this together and to the speakers who gave their time. Great networking too. @ifstnews
@ChrisGPackham @AnandaFoods @WeAreVeganuary Oooh Mrs! Wagon wheels were never my thing. Far too sweet for me, and too much girth (now there's a novel sensory attribute ;-) Totally onboard with the nuts. People, if you've never tasted an almond straight from its shell, do it. It's thigh rubbingly good!
Ok guys and @BoojaBooja I think we need some professional testing here. Have you run this by a trained sensory panel? If it's been tested already I'd like to see the product profile. More to the point I'd like to taste the chocs! (worth a try) :) @IoloWilliams2#sensory
Being Vegan : Day 17 . Chocolate - the difficult one . For me . It’s my treat , that little late night luxury . But can Vegan choc satisfy the connoisseur ? @IoloWilliams2 and I take a break from filming to put @BoojaBooja to the test @WeAreVeganuary
Being Vegan : Day 16 . Filthy ! I felt like getting dirty , bit of fast-food , burgers , chips , hot sauces so I found @ooweediner (Baldwin St , Bristol) on Happy Cow and it really hit the mark . Marmite butter fries are great @WeAreVeganuary Busy place too as chef Fred explains
@ConwyBrewery Has to be Belgium surely! Then again is it really down to personal preference? How do you qualify 'best'?
Sorry I've been in food research too long to give a straight answer. :) A welcome diversion from the no news day, thanks for that!
Do you live or work in the Chester area? Are you interested in Food? Chester Uni are looking to recruit 15 sensory panellists (food tasters) part-time. No experience necessary as full training will be given.

Ok, it's not Easter yet although you can probably be forgiven for thinking this on a visit to the supermarket at the moment! We talk a lot about our sensory perception of food and can sometimes forget about the impact (often subc…https://t.co/3chTFgDrrZ https://t.co/o4VI1FR0GI
