St Mary Le Bow sketched last week from Cheapside on a cold and windy day. A lovely Wren church with a great cafe in the basement.

Just back from visiting the @EastLondonGroup show @BeecroftGallery#Southend:recommended.
I was thrilled to meet “in person” some of the pictures I’ve enjoyed online! Especially “The Scullery” by Walter Steggles (1927). It’s so small! just 7”x5” or so. Many thanks: Great day out.
@nicholas_sack I shall keep an eye on it. Would be a great loss if demolished. I haven’t spotted any Planning Notices to that effect.
Yes, I’ve often admired that rustic house. I thought that would go in all the demolition to do with Cross-rail. But it endures. Hayne Street is open again I see.
@SonjaNisson It was indeed a great start to the day: a swim round the pier, and a double breakfast 🏊♀️ 🏊♀️ 🍳☕️
Here’s a sketch of Bristol Mud Dock. I had a great walk along the dock - so much is new! But Mud Dock was still there..
