This is not a painting. It is the most detailed image of a human cell to date, obtained via radiography, nuclear MRI, and cryoelectronic microscopy.
You are made of 84 minerals, 23 elements and 8 liters of water distributed through 38 trillion cells.
A reminder, should you be in need of a smile, that eggs were once called ‘cacklefarts’, penguins were known as ‘arse-feet’, umbrellas as ‘bumbershoots’, and sausages as ‘bags of mystery’ because you never quite know what’s in them.
This small but mighty engine? It has now propelled Lunar Photon almost 70,000 km from Earth! On July 4 it will accelerate Lunar Photon to 24,500 mph (39,400 km/h), setting CAPSTONE on a ballistic lunar transfer trajectory to the Moon in support of @NASA's Artemis program.🛰️🌖
We are back in New Zealand. This time we said just 4 months. Tricky to get critical health worker visas. Only 25 people on flight from Singapore. Now I’m managed isolation hotel MIQ for 10 days ……
@gbg1954@GeriSoc DGM was one of the best exams I ever did post qualification and it was I think at the first ever sitting. At the time I worked for Prof B Isaac and then as a GP it led to becoming a GPSI in frailty and working in a 1 stop elderly clinic at local DGH which was so rewarding.
Having been doubly vaccinated abroad, I am unable to get a covid passport and struggling to book a booster now back in UK. Do I start vaccs all over again? Any ideas?
@medicsupport I have the same problem with 2 names but added to that have had my 2 covid vaccinations abroad so can’t get a covid passport or book a booster appt here in UK. This means I can’t travel abroad ? This is crazy
Creating the conditions for happiness around us, amidst the uncertainties & ambiguities of daily life, is a significant act of leadership for ourselves & others. Especially relevant at this point in the pandemic: https://t.co/kjemwrPQa4 Great work @tnvora#100RepeatTweets no. 53
As if a pandemic isn’t enough, we had three >7 richter quakes today followed by tsunami warning. All calm now but certainly the first woke us with big shake in the night.
Slow with vaccination program here in NZ, so are staying on til July now. Hope we get ours by then. Good to hear UK going into level 4. Looking forward to catching up with friends & family then. Stay safe. Jx
