Often found at a table, drinking tea & playing with scents. I love London. I love East & West London of the 1950's even more so ..#history🌳Founder EmPoLondon
This is my favourite New Year’s Eve poem, though it really is just a bit from a much larger, magnificent poem: In Memoriam by Tennyson. It has a religious feel, but you can enjoy the sentiment without it. Happy New Year: may the best of your past be the worst of your future.
And so this is Christmas
For weak and for strong,
The rich and the poor ones,
The road is still long.
And so happy Christmas for black and for white,
For yellow and red ones,
Let's stop all the fight.
In the folklore of Brittany, it is said that as Jesus suffered upon the cross, a small robin settled beside him and carefully tried to pluck the thorns that tormented him 🪶
For its compassion, the robin was blessed...and ever since, as it sits on the bare branches of winter trees, it is viewed with love and as a symbol of kindness and hope by all those who pass by 🍒❄️
yearly reminder that george michael single-handedly wrote, produced, sang, and played every instrument on last christmas.
he also donated every penny he made from it to charity. ❤️
Things I'm no longer interested in:
1. Driving at night
2. Leaving my house at night
3. Driving in the Winter
4. Leaving the house in Winter
5. Driving
6. Leaving the house

It’s a treat to see legends like Humphrey Bogart, Bette Davis, and James Cagney make mistakes on set. Hearing them swear is a bonus, especially Jimmy Stewart's glorious delivery of "Son of a bitch".
