What's a pseudoligase?🧐

Well, it looks a lot like an #ubiquitin E3 ligase but (on its own) can't catalyse ubiquitination. In our new ✨preprint✨ we see 12% of TRIM protein RING domains are actually pseudoligases! Implications in #immunity #cancer #neurodegeneration #TPD +more!
