This an awful, shocking case.
Henry’s loved ones have gone through the trauma of a long trial and endured Henry's killer making up appalling claims about their son who was thoughtful, kind and deeply loved.
It is right that the IOPC is investigating the police’s response to his senseless murder. And we must end the cycle of tragedy by tackling the horror of knife crime.
Henry’s family, friends, his university and the city of Southampton will continue to feel his loss, and our thoughts will always be with them.
It's coming up on one month in which Nigel Farage has not made any public appearances.
There are no minimum attendance rules for MPs in Parliament, so he can, legitimately, just not turn up to work.
His party is arguing in public freely, and he cannot put himself under questioning because he has lied now, five times, about the £5M donation from Chakrit Sakunkrit/Christopher Harborne.
Has he finally dug himself a whole so deep, he can't talk his way out of it? Even with the help of majority of the media that keep 'forgetting' to mention it.
Farage's head is well and truly buried in the sand — alongside those of his media pals.
@SteveJo01161289@SBarrettBar The truth goes over their heads sadly. They've been F'ragematised. They'd rather be taken for a complete ride by a fraudulent lying multi-millionaire grifter.
@JeffLan22497792@DavidD92104@SBarrettBar Your skewed thinking & odd way of drawing conclusions based on presumption suggests that you have poor logic, independent thinking, & research skills; all of which would suggest it's you who has the lower IQ & are easily impressionable.
@CrewkerneMan@CrewkerneGaz You may put at the end of your tweet "(satire)" but you don't watermark the videos with it. If the video alone was shared & someone didn't know what Crewkerne Gazette did, they might not see it as satire....not that I saw what was supposed to be funny in it anyway.
@mdubowitz Israel shouldn't be in the contest, it's not in Europe. Especially if you're going to create conspiracy theories & flex a persecution complex when Israel lose...to an actual European country: one who isn't instigating attacks on other countries at that! Final thing: war crimes.🤔
We told you to vote Reform to get Starmer out.
And thanks to you, voting for us, Starmer is now gone.
This is the victory Reform will now claim. Legitimising this campaign, and their message.
Victory will be Farage’s.
Say what you like about the British press, but I find it reassuring that they spend months ripping apart a Labour PM for properly declaring some glasses and football tickets, then all but ignore someone who wants to be PM when he tries to cover up a £5 million gift.
RIdicules contestants on @bbcapprentice for messing up simple maths & yet here he is getting a simple maths clickbait question wrong. 🤦♀️ To borrow one of his digs, he's not the sharpest nail in the toolbox.
@Lord_Sugar Don't you ridicule contestants on @bbcapprentice for messing up simple maths? Yet here you are getting a simple maths clickbait question wrong. 🤦♀️
I miss Twitter…
You’d open the app and instantly know what was happening in the world. No fluff, no weird sorting, just real time thoughts from real people. It felt raw, and that was the whole point.
Over the years they chipped away at that. First the timeline stopped being chronological. Then everything turned into a fight for engagement. The best posts didn’t win anymore, the loudest ones did.
Verification getting sold off was the turning point. That used to mean something. Now it’s just noise. Anyone can look legit, which means nobody really is.
And if you’re actually trying to build something on there, good luck. Shadowbans, random reach drops, mass reporting… there’s zero consistency. One day you’re growing, next day you’re invisible.
The rebrand to X just made it worse. Feels like they threw away everything people actually cared about and replaced it with… nothing.
It’s still usable, but it’s not the same. It went from a place where things happened first to a place where everything feels filtered, forced, and a little fake.
@MichaelTakeMP I met him once & couldn't take my eyes off his hair trying to see if it really was hair or a wig! I was with my dad & he noticed my stares & told me off afterwards for being a bit obvious (whilst chuckling at my protestations).
