@makes_chris I also appreciate that they all have different tones through the same amp with the same settings. It's one of the things that keeps playing fun over many years.
@makes_chris My hands are finicky- the softball bat Fender necks and the SG plank necks are almost unplayable to me. I'm so glad there are different profiles even though it takes some effort to find and try them on.
@UndercoverIndy The story made the paper and hearing my grandma and aunt tell their versions of the story was one of the funnier things us cousins have ever heard.
I can't find a link to the Strib article.
@UndercoverIndy I can beat that. My grandma and her sister got lost in the MSP airport parking lot while picking up Donny Osmond. They forgot where they parked.
Donny was (is) friends with my cousin and was going to stay with his mom while Joseph was running in Minneapolis.
@hlrule I remember buying tickets to the outfield upper deck for $3 around that time. Lower deck outfield was $4, best seats for baseball in the dome per dollar.
Here's the video, ~845 pm. @NWSDesMoines FYI. May 15 storm near Mason City. I'm a trained spotter and was merely passing through the area.

Tonight my road trip through Iowa turned into a nighttime storm chase. Sighted a wall cloud, pulled off the road, got video of a funnel cloud in the lightning.
#skywarn training is valuable- i ID'd the storm at night & let it pass by instead of going headlong into it.
@NWSDesMoines At 8:45 i spotted a wall cloud while driving north on I35, pulled off the freeway at 190th St? and got video of the wall cloud/funnel cloud. I'm Skywarn trained. Lightning lit only, but there was a lot of lightning. I'll post video or photo tomorrow.
