Through the last year, I’ve been quiet on social media because I couldn’t find the right balance: I refuse to stay silent about my country’s reality, but I didn't want to sideline my industry (Web3), or even less, my profession (marketing). Today, I’m speaking up.

Miguel Uribe Turbay, senator and presidential precandidate has died today, two months after the June 7th attack in Bogotá. The shooter arrested is a minor. This was not “self-planned” as many claim it to be: authorities have arrested multiple suspects and investigative leads point to an organized network with possible involvement from FARC dissidents (Segunda Marquetalia).

Today, our country is in shambles, a family is broken, and colombians are, once again, in fear.

To those cheering this: shame on you. Applauding murder in any form or shape is abandoning our humanity, and in this case, democracy. Life over violence; rule of law over mafias.

May you rest in peace Migue.
