BREAKING: A Utah judge just found one of the county prosecutors in the Tyler Robinson case in contempt for violating the court's pre-trial publicity order.

This comes as the judge also denies Robinson's request to remove the death penalty from the Charlie Kirk murder case.

Robinson's attorneys argued prosecutors should no longer be allowed to seek capital punishment, claiming they violated a court order by making public comments about the case before trial.

The judge agreed that one prosecutor violated the pretrial publicity order and held him in contempt of court, but he declined to remove the death penalty as a possible punishment, allowing prosecutors to continue pursuing it as the high-profile case moves forward, @MattFinnFNC reports.
