Week 19 of #GSoC with @aossie_org
Zplit is officially submitted to the Play Store!
Store listing and assets
Data safety + content rating
App signing and release track
Submitted and is live on playstore
GSoC 2026, Week 17 @aossie_org
This week I tested the trust layer of Zplit, our offline-first expense-splitting app where phones exchange signed transactions over Bluetooth, NFC, WiFi Direct, QR and deep links.
new tests. Here's what they cover
Week 15-16 of GSoC on Zplit @aossie_org
Swapped a custom wallet-app plan for something better: settling balances via any EVM wallet (MetaMask, Trust Wallet, etc.) using EIP-681 — tested live, confirmed working end-to-end
Week 14 of #GSoC2026 building Zplit for @AOSSIE_ORG
Shipped full data visualization this week:
Category breakdown (pie)
Monthly spending (bar)
Expense trends (line, daily→yearly)
Per-friend balance trend, reconstructed live from signed transaction history
Week 13 of #GSoC2026@AOSSIE
Built on-device OCR receipt scanning for Zplit using Google ML Kit — snap a receipt, get amount/date/merchant auto-filled, no internet needed.
The hard part wasn't reading the text — it was parsing messy real-world receipts reliably across format
Weeks 11-12 of #GSoC2026@AOSSIE 🚀
Built out WiFi Direct sync for Zplit — device discovery, connection handling, signed payload transfer — and tied it together with Bluetooth/NFC/QR under one unified sync manager.
Users never pick a transport, the app just picks the best
Week 10 of #GSoC2026#aossie
Polished NFC this week — it works as a tap-to-handshake trigger (via HCE) that hands off to Bluetooth for the actual transfer
Ran the whole sync layer through end-to-end testing — QR, Bluetooth, NFC handshake all playing nice together
Week 9 of #GSoC2026#aossie
Shipped NFC tap-to-share on Zplit this week — tap two phones together and a signed transaction moves across, no internet needed
Now part of the unified sync manager alongside QR, Bluetooth & deep links. All transport methods are in
Week 8 of #GSoC with @aossie_org , working on Zplit.
This week focused on hardening Bluetooth-based offline sync: testing across multiple Android devices, resolving transfer failures and sync conflicts, and adding full integration test coverage for the transfer flow.
Week 7 on Zplit: Bluetooth is now a core transport
Device discovery + pairing (Nearby Connections API)
Signed payload transfer protocol
Accept/Reject flow works over Bluetooth, same as QR
Week 6 of #GSoC
Built QR code + deep link sharing for Zplit — two devices can now exchange signed transaction data with zero server involvement
Standard JSON payload, sender signs it, receiver verifies before accepting.
Bluetooth sync is up next
#OpenSource#Flutter
Week 5 of @gsoc
Built cryptographic signatures into Zplit every transaction is now signed before it leaves your device
Sender signs payload with EVM wallet key
Receiver verifies signature via ecRecover
Invalid/tampered payloads rejected instantly
Week 4 of #gsoc2026 done 🚀
Built the full transaction flow for Zplit a decentralized, offline-first expense splitter
Create & send expenses via deep link
Split equally / you paid / they paid
Live split preview before sending
Week 3 of GSoC done
Zplit finally looks like an app:
Silent EVM wallet generated on launch
Homepage live with real BLoC data
Onboarding flow done
Friends list + detail screens
