@StatsSAC As an Arkansas fan that watched him all year, he’s definitely not elite defensively. But he’s also not as bad as people think. Arkansas had a 7 man rotation and he was the star. He had to play it safe to make sure he never fouled out.
@BravesSufferer My dream scenario is they find someone to take Bummer, then they trade for Morejon from the Padres, sign Framber, and move Lopez back to the bullpen.
@b_outliers Yoán Moncada? Cheap, switch hitting, corner infielder with power potential? Not starter worthy, but seems like a quality piece to have on the bench.
@baldheaded1der If the plan is to slide him to second next season and decline Ozzie’s option next year, then yes. Dubon gives you a late inning defensive replacement. But he can’t be viewed as a long term solution at SS.
@StatsSAC I think Garcia particularly just makes so much sense as the 4th outfielder/DH. Good defender on the corner outfield spots to rotate with Acuna and Profar, and feels like a bounce back candidate when reuniting with his old hitting coach.
@grantmcauley Dubon makes me feel a lot more comfortable taking the risk on Seager. That’s a nice insurance policy it Seager were to miss time. And if Seager is healthy Dubon can rotate and give everyone not named Olson days off to stay fresh and healthy.
