Retiree from a life spent bouncing from one job to another, primarily in photography, film and video. I didn't do enough business startups to have a success.
Amazing: Google partnered with American Airlines, used AI to tweak flight paths to reduce contrails.
The results are in, and if scaled up this could immediately reduce aviation's global warming impact by almost 20%
Technology just keeps beating degrowth! https://t.co/aRrqH6xGgU
Here's a video that makes me nervous as well. And wondering if erosion of satellites by the extremely thin atmosphere at orbital altitudes could trigger the Kessler syndrome.

That seems like "renewable" to me, even at the low estimate of 1 km^3 new continental crust per year. There are proposals to extract U from seawater, with global hydrology replenishing the ocean's uranium.
What do you think?
@YourFriendlyNuclearPhysicist Just watched your response to Sabine Hossenfelder on nuclear power. You opined that nuclear wasn't renewable, not taking into account the new crust being extruded by volcanoes every year.

Assuming the new crust assays at crust averages (per Wikipedia) 1.8 ppm U and 9 ppm Th of continental crust at 2.7 gm per cc (2.7 tonnes per m^3), each cubic km of new crust brings 2.7x10^9x10.8x10^-6 =~ 30x10^3 tonnes nuclear fuel annually.
@ScottAdamsSays is not the only one who says "ignore climate alarmism". Here's a paywalled article about one group and one alarmist concern:

@ScottAdamsSays How many people have already suggested you set up a poll for @VivekGRamaswamy as President and former President Trump as Vice President.
Taking the flip up another level - sword and salesman.
Justin Trudeau - Canada is very, very, very serious about nuclear power https://t.co/KQXjhNwrxB via @YouTube
Via @gordonmcdowell Thanks for this one too. I hope this will lead to additional resources for the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission!
2018: Guilbeault “It’s time to close Pickering Nuclear Plant & go for renewables.”
2023: Guilbeault “To achieve our carbon neutrality targets, we need nuclear.”
Inspiring to see @s_guilbeault’s change of heart given the emerging scientific consensus that Net Zero needs Nuclear.
This type of plant could replace coal heat in the boiler of an an existing power plant to decarbonize and preserve existing electricity infrastructure.
Breaking: Cow terrorist attacks McDonalds, creates udder chaos. Police told them to moove along and take their beef somewhere else. Cow leader yelled, “We’ll be back!” And he’s right. https://t.co/tBzngNfeB9
@shootfishbarrel @curious_founder A reminder.
The less you know about energy, the better wind and solar look.
The more you know about the electrical grid, the more you support nuclear.
One of the best books I’ve read on the grid is Shorting the Grid by Meredith Angwin.
Eye opener

@PeterZeihan Further onward on "controlling information to control activity and outcomes" - America as provider of intelligence/equipment/resources for governments that it supports to police themselves. To starve nations of imports and exports, IOW to decouple selected nations.
