Completed the biggest physical and mental challenge of my life two weeks ago.
I can now officially call myself an IRONMAN.
The last ten months have been life-changing. All those early mornings and hard training sessions paid off.
You don’t need thousands of $$$ to start a business.
Most tools are free:
- Canva (design)
- X (lead generation)
- Notion (organizing)
- Loom (teaching)
- YouTube (learning)
- Gumroad (selling)
The barriers to starting an online business are lower than ever.
Take advantage of it.
Creator-First Approach:
- What content do I feel like creating?
- What am I interested in?
- How can I make this about me?
Audience-First Approach:
- What problems can I help my audience solve?
- How can I help my audience get closer to their goals?
- What value can I bring to my audience?
If you want to make money as a content creator, don’t make it about you.
Focus on your audience.
Help them get what they want, and you’ll be rewarded.
Fear can be used as a compass for action.
It shows us what we need to do most.
When I signed up for my first Ironman triathlon, I was scared shitless.
But it turned out to be the most transformative thing I've ever done.
Face your fears.

You don't need to be a world-class expert on a topic to start teaching it.
You can be a student and teacher at the same time.
Learn from the people a few steps ahead of you.
Teach to the people a few steps behind you.
That's how you do it.
@jayclouse When you sell a $1,000 service or coaching package, you only need 5 clients to make a living.
But with a $20 e-book, you need 250 customers to make the same amount.
I can tell from experience it's way more difficult to get 250 people to buy than to get 5 people to buy.

@themilosperisic Hi Milos!
Same for me, back on X after a few months off.
I'm looking to connect with cool creators in my niche (writing) to grow together.
Let's get after it. 💪
3 Limiting beliefs too many writers have:
1) "Why would people listen to me? I have nothing valuable to share."
2) "You can't make good money as a writer."
3) "I'm not inspired now, I'll write tomorrow."
Your external results are a direct reflection of your inner world. Fix it.
5 things you'll never regret doing:
1) Building stuff online
2) Learning high-value skills
3) Creating additional income streams
4) Connecting with like-minded people
5) Helping those who are a few steps behind you
What most writers think they need to learn:
• Grammar
• Fancy words
• Clever, poetic sentences
What you really need to learn:
• Human psychology
• Persuasiveness
• How to grab and keep attention
That's how you win as an online writer.
It took me 12 months to make my first dollar from my writing.
Now it takes me 20 minutes to write an email that generates $500 - $1000.
The power of compounding is real.
Stick with online writing long enough to reap the benefits.
