Hey @KTVU, I read your article about the outrageous items in the 2025 end-of-the-year spending spree under Pete Hegseth. It was very informative.

Then I went to the same watchdog website and pulled up the 2024 end-of-the-year spending spree under Lloyd Austin and you wouldn't believe what I found.

I think it's safe to say you would find it equally outrageous, had you bothered to look - either before you published this piece or when it came out a year ago on the same website.

I've included a link and have attached a comparison for your convenience. I'd love to hear back from you as to whether you find the 2024 Austin expenditures equally outrageous, or if it tempers your outrage at the 2025 Hegseth expenditures.

One would think a news organization would consider it to be a valuable bit of context with which to better inform your readers. It's a shame you didn't bother to look it up. Took 30 seconds to find it.

Look closely at the items and numbers - you'll find them to be very familiar.
