@poperespecter1@5Solas2 Being dead would seem to eliminate any reasonable interpretation of "until" being understood as presuming the action after the fact, whereas the verse in Matt 1 isn't as limited in how it can be read, and yet Matt 1 can be read as not assuming the verb is performed.
@DPGBehler I say the same thing to my kids when they misbehave. The thing is, women are overwhelmingly the sex that is misbehaving in our society right now in ways that are destroying our very civilization, and it's because men are too scared to put them in their place.
@DPGBehler I disagree with singling out "boys" exclusively, it is indicative of the prevailing cowardice of most pastors to hold females in particular accountable at all for any sin. But he may have I suppose, I don't have the full context.
@jason_howerton@josh_a_scott This is a nonsense statement, the Bible is not an agent agreeing or disagreeing with anything, it is a collection of books, poems and letters by different authors who were each inspired by the Holy Spirit.
@ImprecatoryOne One of the most moving scenes in the Gospels, so powerful
Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
