Luke Falk shared a Mike Leach story that stopped me cold:
Two kids. One rich. One poor.
Every training camp, Coach Leach told his team about these 2 kids.
The rich kid has two choices.
Get soft. Get entitled. Expect everything handed to him because he was handed more.
Or take the resources, the coaching, the opportunities, and compound them into something greater.
The poor kid has two choices too.
Say nobody gave him anything. Blame the world. Make his circumstances the reason he never became what he could have been.
Or outwork everyone in the room.
Luke said the locker room had both. Kids from wealth. Kids from nothing. Kids with every advantage. Kids who scraped for every inch.
Same choice for all of them.
Ownership or victimhood.
Fuel or excuse.
The rich kid can waste the head start or build on it.
The poor kid can drown in the deficit or weaponize it.
Greatness doesn't come from where you start.
It comes from which kid you choose to feed.

Social media gives us a perception of access to people's lives without relationship with them, so we think we know people based on what they choose to share. It's a warped view. There are a million layers to a person that will never be revealed by the posts they make.
Send that text. Make that call. Forgive that person. Tell them you miss them. Let go of that Grudge. Show more kindness. Donโt take it for granted just because
Tomorrow isnโt promised.
@DRIVEBasketball@coachzblair10 So you think every Major League Baseball player, every NFL, or MLB player had high level coaching at a young age? All through the high school level. Or maybe not all. What about a high percentage of them?
@coachzblair10 Man Iโm going to be honest. Thatโs such a horrible take. If thatโs your logic. Not a lot of guys can teach it then. Because thereโs a select few guys that can hit a 100MPH fastball on the regular. So Tony V canโt coach in the show because he didnโt play in the show?
Not gonna lie. I donโt like Weis coaching in the playoffs. All this is doing, is setting Lane up to look like a savior. Because he โallowedโ this.
