@NLAHamilton Spence is another highlights player. The odd great standout moment for socials but doesn’t impact the game like he should

[Jason Gregory @JaseGregory25]

@NLAHamilton Over Tonali, no way. Unless you’re talking about fans who just watch YouTube highlights. If you see him live you know what he does. He needed Bentancur to get out the way and stop taking up his space. He runs games and every geordie knew.

[Jason Gregory @JaseGregory25]

@bren_geo @adamdnathan Definitely, we’ve waited a long time for proper squad depth

[Jason Gregory @JaseGregory25]

@nickgoff79 This is the way

[Jason Gregory @JaseGregory25]

@VFTLpodcast @kvlmason @JackPittBrooke @JamesTMaw @EliasBurke Great episode. so true none of us expected Kane to be this good. My issue is once it became clear we had a generational player it was gross negligence of the ownership not to build an elite squad around him- especially as he cost nothing. ENIC/Levy should feel regret every day

[Jason Gregory @JaseGregory25]

@TapAndRunX I was there. The most frightening fast bowling I’ve ever seen. There were a couple SA batsmen who deliberately gave their wickets away to get out of there. I have to say I didn’t blame them. It was brutal

[Jason Gregory @JaseGregory25]

@JohnSimpsonNews It is well written but not as good as AA Gill. He could make you laugh out loud when taking down a crap restaurant. I miss him

[Jason Gregory @JaseGregory25]

@JamesTMaw Correct

[Jason Gregory @JaseGregory25]

@martynziegler Brilliant work @martynziegler. Up there with Brian Glanville, Hugh McIlvanney etc. Football needs more like you

[Jason Gregory @JaseGregory25]

@AlasdairGold He is collateral damage resulting from the ludicrously poor running of the club. Because of the dire situation we’re in we don’t have the luxury of bedding in any more talented youngsters. Not his fault. In another world we would be a settled top 4 team in CL and we ease him in.

[Jason Gregory @JaseGregory25]

@piersmorgan Please tell me you’ve picked Mexico as well

[Jason Gregory @JaseGregory25]

@pokeefe1 and still more to do!

[Jason Gregory @JaseGregory25]

@pokeefe1 @Miken212lx 100% accurate. no champions league, rubbish previous seasons. Doesn’t matter how good the training ground and stadium are we have to pay the ‘we’ve been utter crap’ tax to get any decent players

[Jason Gregory @JaseGregory25]

@thehall65 @VFTLpodcast @kvlmason @JackPittBrooke @JamesTMaw @jaydmharris He has to drop kolo and stick a body in the middle of the pitch. Go long early. I’d save Maddison to the last 30 as there might be more space

[Jason Gregory @JaseGregory25]

@VFTLpodcast @kvlmason @JackPittBrooke @JamesTMaw @jaydmharris Great pod in dark times. I agree the 3 forwards are the only ones we have but kolo surely can’t play. How about add Bergvall or Sarr/Gray to midfield? Clog up the middle of the pitch and hit it long to Richie or Tel. Surely we can change the formation to suit what we have left?

[Jason Gregory @JaseGregory25]

@Felon82 @pokeefe1 @jaydmharris @TheAthleticFC Exactly

[Jason Gregory @JaseGregory25]

@pokeefe1 @jaydmharris @TheAthleticFC Cannot agree. If he was that good he’d have been snapped up already. City, Liverpool, Real Madrid all went elsewhere

[Jason Gregory @JaseGregory25]

@jaydmharris @TheAthleticFC He should definitely be sold. We all know he’ll have a great World Cup so cash in. He’s a really good footballer but too unreliable as a defender. Vertongen was far better positionally and Alderweireld a better passer from the back. He’d be better off further forward.

[Jason Gregory @JaseGregory25]

@CrispsOfBritain These were a fine discovery today
