@CliftonvilleRd @sportslaw_uk @PlanetRugby Cards are not for being weaker in the scrum, they are for pulling out of the contest, thereby removing the advantage gained from a dominant scrum. Especially in the red zone. It's the same principle as collapsing a maul intentionally.

@SARugbymag The only people hyping up the Boks are the media. You never hear the players or coaching staff hype themselves up. They are usually full of praise and respect for opponents. And yes, some fans, but if you can't sort the wheat from the chaff then social media is not for you.

If you then fall "clumsily", however accidentally, you run the risk of causing major injury and ending careers. The onus is on the player to not put himself in a position where if it goes wrong it's serious.
