@SoRoPhD@noahsobe@loyolahistdept Coming full circle, I returned to grad school this fall to complete my high school language arts certification. My first course is an English course called Social Justice Pedagogies, and we have spent a lot of time talking about Gloria Ladson-Billings…
Watched the beginning of the 2nd half from the upper deck. This view always gives me @TotalSoccerShow vibes of how back-in-the day Daryl and Taylor used to talk about the power of watching the “fan-view” to really see the game.
So I posted the photo of us attending the @chicagoredstars game last night. They re-tweeted it, which meant that I was getting a ton of likes. It was weird, but kind of cool. But then @tierna_davidson liked the post and, like, WHOA!
.@SandHerrera_ & @ScoutRipley Long time @chicagoredstars, first time season ticket holders. It would be dream to say hello, say thank you for all your work, and get a photo!
@CEpierso@jjhparker Maybe the revolution is a dream, but funding our schools, and teachers, like we fund our military doesn’t seem like a long shot. If the future is privatized education run by corporations, maybe we just jump ahead and fund schools?
Wow. So much to unpack in this article. I heard a CPS teacher recently say that the goal has always been what we are seeing: mistrust of public ed. and the (continued) vilification of teachers.
@SoRoPhD, feel like this could be the foundation of an entire graduate course!
