@PatGarofalo Two mcdonalds with 2 miles of each other in the same suburb - at one its the lowest price you posted. The other is the higher minneapolis price but not in mpls. Mcdonalds has always varied their pricing by location...

@donavonindocawl Nothing to do with Beer Deserts... Municipal liqour started with the end of prohibition. It was a method to control alcohol sales and generate funds for Cities. The profits theoretically lower property tax needs.

@PatGarofalo So what were those costs? (knowing salt lake to vegas is less than a 6 hour drive - like us going to Kansas City). And what again was the context? Not just outrage at spending a dollar amount that is a location we don't approve of...
@PatGarofalo Was the expense for lodging for a conference or training? Was the hotel the site for the training? How many people went? What was the training for? Easy to be outraged over a big number at a Las Vegas establishment. Context can change things...
Certainly seems to be a trend that the folks with the loudest opinions about the twin cities marathon canceling are those I'd likely never see compete in a marathon. Or actually run at all.
