@Marlinsbeat@TalkinBaseball_@nickpiecoro Regardless, the Skenes and Skubals of the world will get top dollar and if they get TJ, you can’t go out and replace them. I don’t think anyone considers the downside of the cap. It’s not the NFL where you can draft a guy and put them right in next year.
@Marlinsbeat@TalkinBaseball_@nickpiecoro It’s still going to cost a lot to pay for someone to be your ace and if that player gets hurt, the money is fully guaranteed. You just eat it for years.
@JoezMcfLy I don’t know why people care about it being a woman, but in this particular case they replaced a beloved character. There was going to be blowback. They changed Peter Parker’s model on SpiderMan and people flipped.
@Shpeshal_Nick Debating the quality of these shows that are just 20 consecutive trailers is very funny, because if you liked the games it’s great and if you didn’t, you don’t think it’s great.
@JeffSpiegel It really feels like no one wants to talk about how this is really about the new media rights deal. Each team is going to make substantially more and this is really about how to split that money up and not necessarily what they're making today.
@CorlekCarmas The owners don’t want to miss a season either, as the new media rights deal is to be negotiated in 2028. It would be a disaster for everyone.
@JCup2013 Eh. He should probably take the gamble in WWE. They would 100% push him as the top guy in NXT and from there he'd get a shot. In AEW he might be cool in the Opps though.
@BobWulff@BipolarCapybara No, but making the release of every new product out to be a scandal isn’t especially productive either. Calling for companies to further optimize for current hardware or offer upscaling options would be nice. We’re just going to be doing this dance for another two years minimum.
