@donmurphy12a @pmay125 @RepThomasMassie The 1st amendt gives you the right to free speech. The Govt rightfully limits that right to not include things like child or require permits to protest. The 1st amendt gives you the right to defend yourself but doesn’t prohibit the government from limiting that right for safety

There are limits placed by Govt on almost every other amendment that the same people are OK with. You wouldn’t quote the 1st amendment defending child porn would you?

@donmurphy12a @pmay125 @RepThomasMassie Why can’t you just make someone buy insurance for owning a gun. Can’t drive a car without insurance / shouldn’t be able to own a gun. Insurance companies will figure out who’s crazy and either not sell insurance or make the premiums outrageously high.
