This week I opposed the reappointment of PURA Chairman Marissa Gillett. The status quo at PURA is not working as electricity costs remain unaffordable with no relief in sight. Ratepayers deserve better and I will continue to advocate to make Connecticut more affordable.
Today I joined CT House and Senate Republicans in offering ideas to provide consumers with relief on electric bills. Our six-point plan is meant to bring about stability and relief for consumers. Read more at https://t.co/9fVZ2DXf1L

Congrats to Anne Armeno for being appointed as a member of the Southbury Board of Selectmen, filling the seat I recently vacated. Anne has served the community in many ways, most recently as Chair of the EDC. She will continue to do great things for Southbury. Good luck Anne!
Annual legislative night at the Litchfield County Regional Fire School. Following a presentation on school activities, we discussed firefighter needs and priorities for the upcoming session. These individuals protect our towns every day and need our strong support in Hartford.
Always a fun time at the Southbury Chamber’s annual Festival of Wreaths. This year drew a large crowd to start the holiday season. And I even won the https://t.co/XwzHZNO4PG sponsored wreath!
Attended the Connecticut Association of Boards of Education’s Area 1 legislative breakfast this morning at Crosby High School. It was an informative morning with school district leaders, board members and legislators regarding CABE and district priorities in the upcoming session.
Had a great time at Southbury’s Be The Light Holiday Celebration last night. Thanks to Parks and Rec and the countless volunteers involved in making the evening a success.
9 years ago this week I was sworn in as a member of the Board of Selectmen. I am grateful to Southbury residents for giving me the opportunity to serve in this capacity. Tonight will be my last Selectmen meeting and I am excited to continue serving our town in Hartford.
Thank you Jodi Rell for your service, leadership, and example for the people of Connecticut. Governor Rell will be greatly missed and remembered for her many contributions to our state during a very difficult time. Rest in peace.
Enjoyed speaking with Scout Troops 5 and 6 last week. Their topic this month is citizenship and we discussed local government, the recent election, and my new upcoming role in Hartford. Lots of great questions and interest from these future leaders.
Thank you to the residents of the 69th district for putting your faith in me to be your next State Representative.
