This is an awful idea. You want to insert yourselves into a process that doesn't need you, and then get the brands to pay streamers through subs of which you take half.
I'm not sure what worries me more, the fact you came up with this idea or the fact you think you are doing this to help streamers.
Sponsorships don't come around very often for many, so some streamers may see this as an opportunity to gain more income, and that may be the case short term, but the long term effects this practice could have on you, will ultimately leave you worse off.
If you really wanted to help streamers and brands talk, just be the conduit. Streamers being able to talk to brands directly will help build relationships, which is super important. If this process goes ahead you will just be streamer number 98 to the brands, that's reading text for them and once the have dropped their sub bombs on your stream they will move to 99.
@TwitchSupport If things really aren't profitable and as you said 'we are all in this together'
-Give everyone 70/30 sub split
-Have Streamers run ads for 2 or 3 minutes per hour
-Subs get no ads. Ever.
-Continue to Monetize in other ways. Like the above, like Bounties, like ad invectives
@TwitchSupport this is extremely weird. seeing creators getting sponsors by themselves and introducing a feature where you’re able to “get a cut” is just odd
this isn’t you helping creators, this is you attempting to make more profit while screwing your creators over - listen to your streamers
