The Iowa State Patrol, members of the Winneshiek Co. Sheriff’s Office and Decorah Police Department, attended a Halloween parade at Sunflower Day Care in Decorah. Lot’s of smiles, laughs and a few stories!!
Members from Iowa State Patrol District 10 Office Oelwein, and member of Fayette and Clayton County Sheriff’s Department, were challenged to a friendly game of dodge ball by the high school and middle school students of Starmont, Strawberry Point. A lot of fun was had by all!!

The seat belt light on you dashboard might not bother you, but the flashing lights in you rearview mirror will. Buckle you seat belt to avoid getting pulled over. Click it or Ticket.
In 2022, 55% of traffic fatalities in Iowa were unbelted or unknown. So far, in 2023 that number is about 60%. Be proactive and put you seat belt on as soon as you get in your car. Don't risk getting a ticket or worse.
May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month. Because of its size, a motorcycle can be hard to see in traffic. Stay alert when you’re behind the wheel and remember, never ride while impaired or distracted-it’s not worth the risk!!!
Sgt. Mike Tremble takes two St.Ben’s students to school in Decorah this morning. Prior to arriving at school, the three of them took a pit stop at the Winneshiek County Law Center for a tour and donuts!!!
