There’s nothing worse than a convenience store line being held up by someone buying lottery tickets. Go home, put your paycheck in a barrel, and start a fire. I’m trying to buy a Slim Jim and a Mountain Dew like a responsible adult.
If you think California is taking a while to count votes, wait until you hear how long the Trump Administration is taking to release the Epstein files…
Rep. Rob Wittman (R-VA) faked a phone call for roughly 90 seconds after being asked about Speaker Mike Johnson’s comments regarding potential Social Security cuts.
The phone's screen remained visible, with his cheek inadvertently tapping different parts of the display.
You can defend Trump on the war, the gas prices, the tariffs, the pardons, the protecting pedophiles, and everything else. But shutting down multiple blocks of Midtown Manhattan so you can take a nap in a luxury suite at a playoff game and leave before the final buzzer is peak politician behavior. If that doesn’t bother you, you’re not a sports fan—you’re a political fan.
When Democrats tried in 2020 to get Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin to count early votes early—like Florida—Republicans killed the bills so Trump could win day-of-voting tallies and try to throw out mail in ballots. It’s a scam for people Trump thinks are stupid.
@Mazcards_@KyThom31@dmillerabc7 Fine. But I see an awful lot of Cub fans respond to his truly weird OF plays with “no one else would’ve gotten there” — seems a little defensive (no pun intended).
@Mazcards_@KyThom31@dmillerabc7 Fielding metrics are the ones most-often disputed. But I’ve said he’s a very good OF. I also think he got way too much grief for the thing at the Rate. Like, big deal. But maybe — just maybe — the agenda is with fans who can’t accept any criticism of this guy.
@Mazcards_@KyThom31@dmillerabc7 I’m saying that your reliance on metrics is a little flawed. It’s OK to use your eyes sometimes. Unless letting balls roll under your glove for HRs, jumping unnecessarily at the wall, and being the only OF this year to lose a ball in “something” at Wrigley is Gold Glove OF play.
@Mazcards_@KyThom31@dmillerabc7 I also watched him throw a ball over third base last week and not get charged with an error, and take a lousy angle on a ball over his head last week at the wall -- should've been caught. He's generally a very good outfielder, but these metrics don't reflect his day-to-day play.
Is he going to keep doing that new celebration thing where he acts out what he screamed at the woman at the Rate? Or are we just going to pretend that's not what he's doing?
Pete Crow-Armstrong redeems his mistake with the first walk-off hit of his career.
Say what you want about him, but he is absolutely electric in every way.
His 2.6 fWAR ranks 7th among all position players this season. Elite ballplayer.
So Donald Trump staged a fake call with Netanyahu, where he berates and yells at him, then he leaks the staged call to make it seem like he is the one calling the shots.
So transparent and really embarrassing.
