It was great to engage with UN Resident Coordinator, @SusanNamondo and Focal Minister for #SDGs, @JustineLumumba, on a talk show this morning. We highlighted our shared commitments on the National and Continental Action for Accelerated Delivery on the #SDGs and Agenda 2063.

It was a joy meeting all the amazing children in Omugo refugee settlement where @WorldVisionUg is responding to the needs of over 400,000 children and vulnerable adults. Our faith inspires us to look beyond their circumstances and support them in realising their full potential.

Today, @WorldVision CFOO @jb_kamate, Partnership Leader Aamanda Childress, EARO Regional Leader @LDodzo and @VisionFund CEO Edgar Martinez began a tour of our work with children and communities in northern Uganda. They interacted with the children, local leaders and staff.
Lastly, the strategy integrates nexus-based programming, combining short-term emergency response programmes with longer-term social change processes in development as well as enhancing opportunities for peace for both refugees and host-communities.
Today, @WVUganda joins government other humanitarian actors and agencies in launching the new Country Refugee Strategy. This is a milestone in the sector for three main reasons:
Secondly, the strategy is aligned to sector-specific response plans. In so doing, it ensures that our immediate response work feeds into long-term development goals.
Today, I was honoured to represent @WorldVisionUg as we extended our Memorandum of Understanding with @BugandaOfficial through @NnabagerekaOrg. Over the next 2yrs, we will jointly work towards creating an enabling environment for children in Buganda to live life in its fullness.
This morning, @BugandaOfficial through The Foundation is signing a Memorandum of Understanding with @WorldVisionUg.
The 2-year partnership will target ending violence against children and improving their health, nutrition, education and poverty alleviation.
