You talk about it saving money by playing double headers, playing double headers might “save” it some money, but surely the goal of any competition is to generate it’s own money and turn a profit. Double Headers is not a profit making venture

That hardly warrants an over exaggeration of the crowd size, unless all of those 16,000+ left before the final match then the figure means very little.

@I_j0066 @HBWonder @10SportAU They also talked about a big crowd at the Carlton v St.Kilda AFLW game a few weeks ago, once again a double header. Back in the day when reserves games ran before the Senior game people would arrive early also, but most were there for the Seniors and not the reserves
