Please avoid the area in the 500 block of Shelby Avenue. Officers responded to an apartment in the James Cayce Homes regarding a suspect. He allegedly fired shots around 5:40 a.m. toward the officers and is barricaded inside, refusing to surrender. No one was injured. Negotiators on scene.
