I have never taken a more perfect photo and I may never again come even close.
My daughter Madison meeting her baby brother Parker for the very first time.

@John_Karalis My condolences, John. He sounds like an amazing man and your tribute truly honors that.

@Rainmaker1973 If he had just managed to go 8 mph more, he could have traveled back to the year 1955.

[Jason Manganello @JasonM124]

@AGHamilton29 Sure, happy to help.

[Jason Manganello @JasonM124]

@hoodwild_ This was my favorite scene in the entirety of The Fresh Prince.

@CorieWhalen @scottlincicome

[Jason Manganello @JasonM124]

@Polymarket This is misleading. The story isn't that he's $1.2 billion underwater. It's that the billions of dollars of real estate he & his partners own carry a total of $1.2 billion mortgage debt.

He revealed this info himself on a podcast on which he was bragging about the real estate.

[Jason Manganello @JasonM124]

@KeithSmithNBA I just got out of it, as well! I took my 7 year old to see it. It's his favorite one, too!

[Jason Manganello @JasonM124]

@GlennDOrdway Whether the Celtics were right or wrong to decide if was time to move on from Jaylen Brown, I just cannot comprehend the justification for what the return for him was. Or understand what the rush was. Philly would have done this trade any time.

[Jason Manganello @JasonM124]

@GlennDOrdway Glenn, is this (on its face at least) the worst trade in Celtics history?

PG was a negative asset; people were speculating Philly would need to attach a 1st round pick just to trade him away.

That puts the value return for Brown just a single 1st to send him to a division rival

[Jason Manganello @JasonM124]

@Aulenor @SwordofConva Agreed

[Jason Manganello @JasonM124]

@neoavatara I saw that in the theater when it came out and I don't think I ever was ever able to bring myself to watch it again.

I love going to the movies with my kids, but no way I'm inflicting that scene on my Tramsformers-loving 7 year old.

[Jason Manganello @JasonM124]

@AdamMKaufman But even if you accept that, the problem is they took on a MORE depreciating (already depreciated?) asset in Paul George.

And if they viewed him as such a falling asset and they had a chance to trade him for Giannis, how do they not go all in?

[Jason Manganello @JasonM124]

@ProsecutorsPod

[Jason Manganello @JasonM124]

@AdamMKaufman I agree. The basketball related issues with the second apron explain their moves. Could it ALSO be private equity cost currently? Sure, but we need to see what happens over more seasons to really determine that.

[Jason Manganello @JasonM124]

@gavinwainio @StoolGreenie Best case scenario: Stevens took $0.50 on the dollar for Brown AND traded him to a division rival.

I cannot see what could come of this trade that would possibly redeem this deal. Even if he makes a brilliant second move, the first move was such an awful sacrifice of value.

[Jason Manganello @JasonM124]

@AdamMKaufman If Jaylen Brown called Brad Stevens and said "I will never play another game for the Celtics and will sit out if on the team next year", YOU STILL DO NOT DO THIS TRADE!!

[Jason Manganello @JasonM124]

@celticsblog I guess? I wish they had brought back Vucevic instead. He signed for only $3.9 million with Orlando. I don't think he was great for the Celtics, but at that number he'd be more than worth it.

[Jason Manganello @JasonM124]

@John_Karalis I was not expecting that.

[Jason Manganello @JasonM124]

@KeithSmithNBA @BobbyMarks42 @acecage20 @spotrac What is the reason/rationale for the base year compensation rule? I'm sure there is one, but from an inexpert perspective, it looks like a complication for complications sake.
