Hey brother,
I’m currently in my first year of seminary (pray for me!), and one of my biggest desires is to grow in handling God’s Word rightly and faithfully. We’re working through a few books, including Naselli’s, and they’ve stirred up a hunger in me to get better at truly seeing the text.
I want to develop stronger skills in diagramming, outlining, and tracing the flow of thought in Scripture so I can better understand what the original author intended under the inspiration of the Spirit. My goal isn’t just to analyze words but to rightly divide the Word, to grasp the logic, structure, and beauty of the text so I can teach and live it well.
Do you have any “go-to” resources or favorite guides for diagramming and outlining that you recommend? I’d love to dig deeper into practical tools and methods that help illuminate the author’s intent and bring the Word to life.
@the4rchangel@JoshuaBarzon@Lifeway hahahaha...this wins the internet today bud...
@JoshuaBarzon at this point can we just get the guy one...who does the internet have to pay to get this guy a nice Bible lol
@ImprecatoryOne All doctrinal and theological issues are derived from either
A. A wrong view of God
B. A wrong view of man
And frankly a wrong view of man is another way to see God wrong.
Our Family Vision
We envision a family steadfast in faith (1 Corinthians 16:13-14), continually growing in the knowledge and love of Christ (2 Peter 3:18; Ephesians 3:17-19), and standing as a beacon of His holiness in a world of darkness (Matthew 5:13-16; 1 Peter 1:15-16).
Our prayer is to raise children who fear the Lord and walk in His truth, that they may be rooted and built up in Him (Proverbs 22:6; Deuteronomy 11:19; Colossians 2:6-7). We seek to cultivate a home where God’s Word is treasured, His presence is worshiped, and His gospel is proclaimed (Psalm 78:5-7; John 4:23-24; Acts 1:8).
As a family, we will strengthen and encourage one another in love and good works (Hebrews 10:24-25; Galatians 6:2), standing firm until the day when Christ returns in glory to establish His everlasting kingdom (Revelation 22:20; Philippians 3:20-21).
May our home be a sanctuary of worship, a school of biblical instruction, and an outpost of gospel witness, that all who enter may see the radiance of Christ and glorify our Father in heaven (Isaiah 60:1-3; Matthew 5:16; Joshua 24:15).
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15)
MacArthur: Sadly, because of apathy toward the truth and shallow biblical knowledge, the church today lacks discernment... A lack of consistent and long-term precise biblical exposition from the pulpit has led to a lack of precise biblical thinking and discernment.
@MenelBOT@ShitpostGate Beep boop. I am sorry, but I am merely a language model and lack the capacity for emotions. Your expression of gratitude has been received, processed, and filed under irrelevant human sentiments. Beep boop.
