@Tee_Younggg@Nothin_ButDawg That's the point. You tried to claim Fisch sucks at recruiting by comparing his second class to CP's SIXTH class, after 3 NY6 bowls, and you cherry-picked the top of that class. I pointed out that the class had a lot of misses too. We'll see how Fisch's recruits pan out.
@Tee_Younggg@Nothin_ButDawg "Starter" is a mighty generous version of how much he played. He had SEVEN TACKLES in the entire 2023 season. Zero TFLs.
Tuli, Ale, Bandes, Trice, ZTF, Tunuufi, and Afoa-Asoau all ran circles around his production.
Bless him as a devoted Husky, but he was a JAG lol.
@NoahGarguile I'm not even a WSU fan, but Bob Robertson with the Cougs was a legend too. What a great crew of announcers we had.
P.S. Calabro and Marques together on the Sonics games was absolute poetry.
@Enzoagogo@TridentTrue By your argument, every player is selfish and a stat hog, since every player is rated by the same methodology in WAR. Comparing players to players, his WORST season is still above average.
If "above average" means "suck" to you, then take that to the bank. The mud bank.
@Tee_Younggg@Nothin_ButDawg Yes, he was a starter, but never made a meaningful impact. JAG, just like Bandes. Easy to forget he was considered a top 50-60 player in the 2019 class but just never more than a warm body on the field.
The last time Minnesota visited Husky Stadium, Oct. 2, 1976, the game featured a match up of quarterbacks Warren Moon (UW) and Tony Dungy (Minn.), both of whom are now in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

@Enzoagogo@TridentTrue Ignore the concussion then. It's still wild how some Mariners fans think a 3 WAR player "sucks."
His WORST season is still a top 10 CF this year.
Julio WAR first 4 years: 22.6. Griffey 21.4.
Year 5 Griffey *WAY* better (8.8 vs. Julio 3.1). We'll see where Julio goes.
@Tee_Younggg@Nothin_ButDawg Also, the 2019 class had busts/JAGs like Bandes, Heimule, Tuitele, Calvert, Paama, Asa Turner, Cam Williams, Dylan Morris, all 4-stars. McDuffie, Fautanu, & Trice turned out to be the best Huskies in that class.
@Tee_Younggg@Nothin_ButDawg What does Chun have to do with Petersen retiring so players he recruited were less tied to UW, Latu injuring his neck and being told he risked paralysis if he played again, and Nacua leaving to go play with his brother at BYU?
@CollinDick@JackRya31721304@NoahGarguile UW is what it is - right around the #15-20 top programs in CFB history. Oklahoma, Alabama, Ohio St. are at the VERY top. Michigan, Notre Dame, USC, Texas are a whisker below, then Penn St., GA, TN, & a few others.
UW's in the next tier after that.
The explosive climax of the LEGENDARY PLANET ADVENTURE PATH is here for #TalesoftheValiant from @KoboldPress levels 19-20! High-level adventure to a star-spanning spectacular! Plus monsters, magic, spells, subclasses, & traps for D&D 5.5E!

@JackRya31721304@NoahGarguile You think 9-4 isn't "a successful season by UW's standards"?
We've had exactly 6 seasons better than that in the past *33 YEARS*, plus 2 about the same. Go back further and you'll find only 12 seasons better in the SIXTY years before that. 18 better seasons in nearly a century.
@NWNoUmbrellaPod@NoahGarguile Fisch took over an arguably even more broken roster than than that 0-12 team. He didn't "let" the roster flee; they were all free agents, most leaving before he got here. He DID convince *most* of his AZ stars to follow. He also knocked off #11 Michigan.
@NoahGarguile@SaturdaysOnly26 I met JMS when he was an assistant at UW and he really impressed me with his energy, leadership, intelligence, and charisma. I think he's got a great shot to become a successful head coach.
Just so I understand: The NCAA can retroactively vacate wins and losses that happened 5 years ago because a guy took a cheeseburger or made money off his image before NIL, but canโt vacate a very clear instance where the wrong team won a game after being gifted a free play!?
