Is it just me or is Spencer Pratt running for Mayor of LA the real life equivalent of Zach Morris becoming governor of California? I feel like yes. @ClayTravis can you please confirm?
@ArtTakesNote Boozer has the highest floor, lowest ceiling IMO. Not that it’s a bad ceiling but if all three guys hit their peak, I think his is the lowest. But there is a very real / clear path to seeing how he contributes. Many years he’d be an easy #1 overall pick.
I’ve wanted this to happen for like the last four off-seasons. Hey @KVN_03 can you get behind Kyle Van Noy-ner? You and Freddy together like we just missed out on in Provo? 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Question for @BDPeacock@CoachCrocky@Graham_SFN and others - do we know what the “hit rate” has been on Gold Helmet guys they’ve drafted? I know we don’t know what that looks like for those they didn’t but would love to see with the guys they did select, who they were & results
@splash_cousin My take on reviewing this list was a similar thought: much better than expected.
I think the concern is - and somewhat valid - when this SF group has gone off consensus before, have they hit? Fair to say they are hitting at a rate worse than 22%. Maybe it means they’re due.
I need to do some research on this, but I feel like the NFL draft is really two drafts:
R1-3: this is where you find starters, fill gaps post free agency, etc.
R4-7: take swings on upside and development, build depth, STs, etc.
SF has been bad at 1 & good at 2
@BDPeacock
@AlSacco49 I may be in the minority here, but I feel like after the top 130 players or so in most drafts, there is a marginal difference between being ranked 150th or 300th. Scheme fit and situation play bigger roles than “consensus Big Board”. Top 130? Yeah, following board matters.
@49ers_guy And / or they believe in the development of their guys in year 2. Remember Huff barely saw the field as a rookie at Safety and then made a massive impact. Thinking they view Siegel the same maybe?
@BDPeacock Maybe makes me feel better about Mykel pick last year? Which I liked a lot at the time, and still like - we were better with him on the field - but a bit disappointed in the pass rush juice
@thewaynebreezie anything to @49ers tendency to pick kids who played on teams in the CFP? 3/3 this year, 5/11 picks last year came from teams in the playoff. Niners looking for “winners” or just coincidence?
