This morning, @USouthFlorida was honored to host @GregoryRHancock, Professor, Distinguished Scholar-Teacher, and @quantitudepod rockstar, for an incredibly insightful and practical research talk on power analysis. What a treat!
A very kind new student of mine found out it was my bday today from LinkedIn and joined a teams call w a happy birthday background.
Of course then they proceeded to ruin it by saying they thought it was cool that they were two years old when I started as a graduate student.
We're thrilled to welcome Dr. Sten Vermund as the new dean of @USFCOPH starting Jan. 2025! With decades of expertise in infectious disease epidemiology, leadership at Yale, and as president of @GlobalVirusNews, he's set to advance our public health impact. https://t.co/KU4UJjyyVS
This week, I got to represent the @usfcoph and @USFHealth and throw out the first pitch at the @USFBaseball game.
Not too bad for a near 47-year-old arm that hadn't thrown a baseball in years.
I love the community at @USouthFlorida and feel blessed to be there!
GO BULLS!
“I am pleased to inform you that you are being promoted to the rank of professor…”
Well, that’s pretty darn cool...and a nice way to commemorate the upcoming 10-year anniversary since I earned my PhD.
I really love what I get the opportunity to do each and every day. ❤️🤘
