The last time I mistakenly took that call, I asked the caller for their name and SS# to prove they were legit. They so craftily said that they were my father. Click
Man it's such a bummer when your phone rings after you've just sent an email to someone you really hope gets back to you, and you don't know the number so you hope it's them, and you pick up excitedly only to find it's a scammer saying your social security # has been compromised.
Spark Therapeutics, which is now a subsidiary of Roche, has sued bluebird for trademark infringement — through a promotional campaign around its experimental treatment for sickle cell disease where the word “spark” features prominently.

Well played. 🎤💧
Great visualization of how aerosols move through an airplane. Air changes out every 2-3 minutes and passes through a HEPA filter that removes aerosols. Very important to minimize mask-off time. https://t.co/CtODEYWCOk
100 million shots in 100 days will be completed this week instead of April 30th (we're at 97 million administered; tomorrow is 50 days)

—At current 2.2M/d, would be >210 M shots in 100 days (+ hope we can rev up)

Moms cousin finally discharged after 30 days in ICU with Covid. Learning to walk and talk on his own again. That’s one strong hombre. 💪 Can’t #vaccinate fast enough.
another great vaccine story from @helenbranswell. I often hear, I got "the moderna" but that's a perception concern as we move towards vaccinating a general population. https://t.co/ilKLLSWCgC via @statnews
Agree with this
Right now, demand for vaccines >>> supply of vaccines
That will stay true for all of February and much of March
But by April, this will begin to change
And by May, supply > demand in US
By summer? supply >>> demand
But my parents are not concerned with efficacy rates of various #covid vaccines. They want to know what will keep them out of the hospital, what will prevent severe infections and death. The good news is there are now several options that do that. 👍💪
Family and friends continuously ask me to help filter the news to help make sense of it. I thought today’s @nytimes morning newsletter by @DLeonhardt was outstanding, and I shared it with as many as I could. He said what needed to be said.
