@jackkim36 It looked like more than anything Castellano was unlucky- having the rail on the turn is usually a positive IMO, but things didn't open up to be able and tip and roll or slip up the rail. If he leaves the rail, he loses ground around the turn and might not have enough late.

@EMD4ME Happened to see that race - I don't tune into NY racing that much, but the ride looked really weird and suspicious. I think you're right though, that the backstretch spill might have had something to do with the it.

@EMD4ME The #2 and the #6 will likely be off the early pace, and either one could get there if the pace is too heated, with the latter compromised by a wide trip last out (4 path on the turn, eliminating any chance that race).

@EMD4ME If HB is able to secure the rail on the turn he could be waving the others goodbye, and drawing inside the #4 is to his advantage.

@EMD4ME Looking at that race, I figure Heredia Boxer as most likely with about a 40% shot to win. The #4 does seem to have the most early speed, but if the #4 doesn't clear and gets hung out to the 2 path he'll more than likely back up before the wire IMO.

@EMD4ME I don't often tune into the NY tracks, but that was really weird. Mostly following the West Coast tracks (Emd, SA, GG), I don't think I have EVER seen anything like that. It does seem like the NY tracks have more "irregularities" occur than other major circuits.

@3coltshandicap Totally agree Matt - whoever won the coin flip probably had about an 80% chance to win given that both defenses were out of gas - totally unfair to the team losing the coin flip.
