Another football season upon us. It will be strange not seeing these two on the field together. 1100 miles apart! One senior in HS, one learning a new level. Growing daily! #Kaizen
@TolentinoTeach Very few have a philosophy, so throwing “meds” at “symptoms” become the norm. Very few have the patience to play the long game which merits more rewards. Instead, quick fixes permeate a school system. Also due to rampant leadership turnover trends we see today.
As you grow older, you start to realize how most of your growth happens not by what you say “yes” to, but more so by what you say “no” to. But to do so, a philosophical development from stillness must be created!
KMOO Sports visits with Head Football Coach and Athletic Director Todd Wallace at @QuinlanISD on his Pigskin Preview: expectations for this year, new district, non-district schedule, where the strengths are and the question marks going into Year 15 at Quinlan Ford. @dctf#txhsfb
@TroyMooney Yes..those not building systems prior to this year will suffer. Esp if they do not have a large number of students hitting completer with IBC, or gaining TSIA/SAT/ACT metrics. I too see a big drop ahead.
@KevinDeShazo Too many times culture is mistaken for “snack carts”, “t-shirt spirit days”, “jeans days” in education. When culture is simply what we do/expect daily. 100% spot on. That starts with leadership. Expectations, communication, standards and systems. Consistent!
@educator4ever36 That, and for a school to move…there has to be a viable curriculum. I don’t think people at Apple, or GM have the ability to create and assemble product with complete autonomy. I’m for teachers teaching. But your autonomy comes from using your tools to convey the curriculum.
Educators, quit posting/reposting stuff like this thinking it is cute/funny. One can’t argue for being treated like a professional, then post a “funny” image that screams lazy, spoiled or child. If you do, don’t expect to be taken serious by the professional world. My 2 cents.
With teachers returning this week, and students the following week, this seems to be an appropriate way to start the year. Let’s focus on what works, not just what sounds good in theory.
@WingTCoachRyan@RyanMDowning@chriscfore Thanks, it’s my son. He early enrolled at MSUM. Has a long way to go, but the Wing-T did not limit him. Coach Wallace did a great job of designing what they did to fit kids out of the Winged concepts.
@RyanMDowning@WingTCoachRyan@chriscfore Dig/post/wheel is the same in gun or wing. GT/counter, trap, iso, belly are the same. 4 verts, still the same. It didn’t hurt Cam Ward
@RyanMDowning@WingTCoachRyan@chriscfore The Chiefs base their run game from Wing T concepts. Nothing worse than watching HS teams go 3 and out in 45 sec, punt and repeat. My two kids have had zero problem in development.
