Passionate about criminal justice reform and environmental protections, work in tech. Formerly Nutanix, Dell, and my own grease-to-biofuels biz. NOT a Musk fan.
@chitovela3 A person’s RIGHT to vote should not be contingent on whether or not they have a felony conviction. The criminal justice system should be about rehabilitation, not just punishment. I am in favor of no voting rights restrictions in almost every case. https://t.co/E4V89Mhhep
@WalkableAustin “The evil developers are going to tear down all the old homes and build stealth dorms” and “there will be nowhere to put all the trash cans” (North Loop)
@amuse@JamesMelville Terrible situation but has been reported on for many years, long before electric cars. But since EVs are an easy target for right wingers, they say it’s “so we can drive electric cars”. How about “so we can have cell phones and laptops”??
@kelseyhuse30 @JustTravisStone What is the point of the 1-2 feet between the bike lane and the curb? Maybe for trash cans to be put out?
I live in North Loop and am THRILLED to see this major overhaul! I'm very much looking forward to the North Loop / 53rd updates, all the way from Airport to near Mopac.
@p_ganong when you say "tax prep", do you mean "filing taxes", or "preparing taxes to be filed, if you choose to have help"? Because in most of the developed world, filing your taxes is free for almost everyone but the wealthier. Surely as an Econ professor you looked this up first, right?
@duncancampbell The answer is because someone has to pay for the energy. Even if the food truck could plug into a high enough power connection to get electricity, there would be no way to meter it for them to pay for it. Some food truck courts provide electricity as part of the contract.
I got fired from my first job ever, at Jones Pet Shop, a small family pet store in Nashville, at age 18. I had been crashing on my dad's couch for the summer, in a weird in-between phase of my life. I was not good enough at feedin…https://t.co/hgl2mgy88i https://t.co/IrXYWrI0qY
@ericareport In prison, really? Shit like this is why i mostly left Twitter. We are supposed to decide, right now, if the former VP should be in prison for likely the same thing that the current sitting president did. Unfollowing.
@JackCraver@ReconnectAustin Not really. Maybe worse by single digit percent. Definitely more “very fast” drivers than 10 years ago. I asked my partner, she agrees. The nature of traffic has gotten somewhat worse, but not the real number of cars. Also we are older and probably grouchier!
@JackCraver@ReconnectAustin I’m no fan of expansion, and as President of the North Loop NA, I’m supporting tunnel/cap/bury - or even the “do nothing” option and let another generation sort out this mess. But I will say that recent trips to San Antonio have been jam packed - far busier than 20yrs ago.
@ReconnectAustin@JackCraver PS Are you planning to get on Post? At least crosspost there, but I hope you’ll consider leaving Twitter. I’ve stopped posting on Twitter (only replies) and as soon as there is critical mass there, I’ll delete my Twitter account. Hope you’ll join us!
