Apartheid has been over for 30 years, but there are more laws prescribing racial classification in South Africa today than during Apartheid. In the last 30 years, 116 laws have been introduced regarding this, prescribing racial classification and even racial quotas. This makes South Africa the most racially regulated country in the world. Every bit of public action, whether it's applying for a home loan or driver's license, enrolling your child in a school or opening a bank account - everything requires racial classification. And often strict racial quotas are imposed on the population, but also on private companies - such as in the allocation of home loans, scholarships, etc.
