The Nest, Norwich City's home from 1908 to 1935. It's the ground I would head straight to if I could time travel! Built in an old chalk pit, terraces and stands were squeezed in wherever space allowed. Now covered by housing, the uppermost terraces remain, covered by undergrowth.
Who remembers this one; a club hailing from Norwich by the name of Gothic? They played at Heartsease Lane and the only cover at the ground was a small wooden shed. After many years of struggle the club folded in 1977/78, although the site was briefly later used by Norwich United.
