Nexus Mods has acquired SteamDB.
The site’s creator @thexpaw is stepping away after burning out from years of running it. He looked for a team he could hand the project over to, but never found anyone he fully trusted.
SteamDB will stay SteamDB for now, but over time, Nexus Mods will be slowly integrated in the site.
One of the most entertaining, and often the most difficult part of writing a game is handing out “powers.”
You want your heroes to feel extraordinary. You want them to be capable of things ordinary people simply aren’t. But at the same time, there’s always that little voice whispering, “Yeah, but what if this one was REALLY cool?” And all of a sudden everything is OP.
In Wardens, these powers are called Blessings.
Blessings are gifts from the King of All, passed through the Totem and Insignia to empower a Warden in their duties. But I don’t want them to simply be “spend a point from your Power Well for +1 Strength.”
A Blessing should tell us something about the Warden using it.
It should reflect where they came from, what they have been called to protect, and what their place is within Creation.
So, when I sit down to develop these power sets, I keep coming back to the Ward that shaped the Warden and the duties they’ve been entrusted with.
What do restoration and conservation look like when it comes from the Ward of Wild Wood?
What do order and justice look like when it comes from the Ward of Lost Paths?
Those questions are proving much more interesting than, “What cool superpower should this character have?”
@Hunt3r4life@iHeist007@ARCRaidersGame@SUBWAY Oh so there isn't a pve option in the lobby select? I just have to trust that Embark didn't mess with the matchmaking again?
No thanks.
