A huge piece of work by @Jav6745 and a great collaboration with INRAE GAFL !
Intra-specific NLR allelic diversity and genomic landscape for plant resistance association studies https://t.co/KSV61xD7AD
EPSO wishes to encourage the development of ideas and imaginative thinking in #PlantScience and congratulates the winners of the EPSO Young Plant Scientist Award: Himanshu Chhillar (fundamental plant research) and Javier Belinchon-Moreno (applied plant research).
It's out ! 🥳
Great job @Jav6745 ! 👍
A great collaborative work between EPGV and @INRAE_PACA, @CNRGV, @GenoUMR_GM and @seqlab demonstrating the power of @nanopore adaptive sampling to characterize NLR resistance genes in plants 🍈🧬

Pan-NLRome in melon by Javier (@Jav6745) demonstrated the power of @nanopore adaptive sampling for studies of difficult genomic regions, even in hundreds of varieties…

@ResearchGenome@TJesse62 Great work @Jav6745 & team! @nanopore adaptive sampling is unique and this publication nicely illustrates one of the application for plant 🌱 breeding . 👏
@TJesse62@EPGV_INRAE@nanopore Coming soon🚀 I think adaptive sampling is the most cost-saving approach for our project. Some more flowcells would be needed to get our ROIs with the same coverage using WGS (and also more bioinformatic resources for data management)
Today I was at #LondonCalling2023, talking about adaptive sampling, NLR genes and melon breeding. Thanks a lot @nanopore for this opportunity, it was incredible doing this next to people with such awesome careers

@LaurentijnT@nanopore@nxtgnt @koend10 Hello, I just found this photo using the browser, nice work! What do you think could be the cause of such a large amount of variation (coloured vertical bars) that appears in igv? Is it a problem with the quality of the mapping?
