I warmly welcome the Peace Deal between the United States and Iran. This breakthrough shows that diplomacy can succeed where confrontation cannot.

I commend President @AAliZardari, PM Shehbaz Sharif @CMShehbaz and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir @ISPR_Official for their leadership, and acknowledge DPM/FM Senator Ishaq Dar @MIshaqDar50, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi @MohsinnaqviC42, MoFA, and diplomatic teams from all sides whose dedicated efforts helped make this possible.

This is an important first step toward lasting peace. Pakistan remains ready to support the next phase of dialogue and negotiations.

Deeply saddened by the passing of Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, whom I got the opportunity to meet many times. A fellow citizen of Jammu and Kashmir on the other side of the divide, barrister sahab was deeply concerned about the pain of the divided families across the LOC and the suffering of the people as a consequence of the division. He fully supported dialogue and compassionate engagement to resolve the conflict and its humanitarian dimension.
