Cover cropping is an essential practice for soil health. ๐พ
Planting certain crops and vegetation can greatly benefit the soil and contribute to its overall health. ๐ช
Crops like legumes (clover, peas, vetch) and grasses (rye, oats) are sown to cover the soil during fall and winter. โ๏ธ
They prevent soil erosion, suppress weeds, and add organic matter when they're eventually tilled into the soil. Over time, cover cropping helps increase soil organic matter, leading to healthier soil and a richer harvest. ๐ฑ๐ฟ๐ป

@Asad_Ashah Implementation of save soil policy of conscious planet is the most important step in your point of argument; it can directly benefit 70% of population along with core ecological issues of survival ๐๐ฟ๐ณ
Despite the potential of soil to sequester carbon, carbon credit market regulations are not friendly to farmers who want to contribute to climate action. How are experts around the world approaching these issues? Find out in the recap of our Day 8 panel at #COP28 at the #SaveSoil Pavilion in Dubai, UAE.

Dearest Layne, you are a wonderful spirit and you saw how Melbourne responded. Fantastic to be with you and to converse with you. The people of Melbourne have responded and imbibed the spirit of what we wanted to do yesterday. Best wishes and Blessings. -Sg

@Ksareen30 I have resumed a job with a politician to raise voice for save soil. Will deny to accept salary. I'll do agroforestry on thousands of acres of land. Will connect local institutions to make FPOs. Working with universities to initiate Indus River Revitalization Movement ๐๐ฟ
Intense, revelatory, dramatic - COP28 has been many things. The overwhelmingly warm response from delegates, farmers, NGOs and governments towards the movement has been heartening and inspiring. Most importantly, the Save Soil message resonated loud and clear at COP28 and soil is now firmly placed as a prominent aspect of the climate change conversation.
Many of those who came to the Save Soil Pavilion were new to the Save Soil movement, but quickly became firm friends, brought together by both the passion and pragmatism of the Save Soil team. We would like to thank all of the experts who participated in our panel discussions, and everyone who made our COP experience what it was.
Most importantly, thank you to the tens of thousands of voices and hands across the globe constantly supporting Save Soil - you are the movement.
Save Soil - fix climate change.
Let us make it happen! ๐๐ฑ

I participated in a High-level Ministerial Dialogue on Building Water-Resilient Food Systems that took place during COP28, where I highlighted the historic nature of the COP28, emphasising the significance of placing food systems at the heart of the agenda and the endorsement of the UAE COP28 Declaration on Agriculture, Food, and Climate by 150+ nations on addition to the substantial financial commitments secured. All is a result of collective work in climate action.

COP28 is focusing on food systems to create a new normal for how we treat food, agriculture, and water within climate action. @mariammalmheiri speaks on the importance of food systems at #COP28#UniteActDeliver#ClimateAction
Save Soil Movement reached at Aror University. We conducted an awareness seminar at campus; planted trees; met with faculty and students. Introduced Inner Engineering to them and received a huge response from the audience.

Congratulations, Madam @mariammalmheiri, for making agriculture and food systems the central agenda of climate action efforts at #COP28. This is a much-needed step towards the revitalization of soil and creating a hunger-free world. Oil-producing nations should invest in regenerative agriculture and tree-based agriculture which will lead to enormous carbon sequestration in the most natural and proper way. This is the way for oil-producing nations to come to net zero. Look forward to more action in this direction.-Sg
