@Dwatcheron@HickeyNeate You are trying really hard to justify the behavior of sexualizing the appearance of children. It's not simply just the art. It's about the artists, the consumer, and exploition of the child's general appearance for sexual gratification.
@Javelin7777@Kazuruui this is 2 different thing
attractive or not is no relationship with a guy assault a kid or not
the key is “let everyone know no one can hurt kids”
not “let’s ban those fictional piece and creations”
@Dwatcheron@HickeyNeate@VCOLD6 The core of the argument That you decided to take a detour around, is the behavior of sexualizing children, of the appearance of children to child like depictions is not ok even if it's not clinically diagnosed pedophilia.
@Dwatcheron@HickeyNeate@VCOLD6 And we've already established that offending isn't the problem. It's the behavior itself.
Sexualizition of children is one of the most abhorrent behaviors known to man.
Killing isn't. There can be reasons to kill. There's no reason to sexualize a child.
@Dwatcheron@HickeyNeate@VCOLD6 Ok? But there is still a large gap between violence being depicted in media, and cultivating the behavior of sexualizing child or child like characters.
@HickeyNeate@Dwatcheron@VCOLD6 Claimed. But we are aware children can't consent, which is all that trainer discussed.
So he'd have the law to contend with there.
@Dwatcheron@VCOLD6 Loli is still focused on the child and child like character archetype. And Lolicon is still focused on the sexualizition of those characters.
Bishoujo isn't just a character archetype, but a word like beautiful, gorgeous, etc. Its a complementary term.
@Dwatcheron@VCOLD6 The evolution of Lolitia, Lolita complex, Loli and Lolicon is so heavily association with little girls, and the attraction of older men for those little girls.
While there have been attempts to broaden the term, the core of the terms and it's evolutions are still well...
@Dwatcheron@VCOLD6 Even still the book is scrutinized on its credibility, blurring the line between reality and fiction. And as far as I'm aware, doesn't define the term of Lolita complex as one held by the girl.
@MinHoffert It's the criticism of the behavior itself.
While people can't help the attractions they experience, they still have control of how they handle them. And it brings a ethical question as to why the appearance of a child and child like character is sexually Arousing.
@MinHoffert I'll step back of the use of the term perpetrator, I was using it in the sense of someone that is actively doing, not accusing of a crime.
And you claim there are studies, when the field is notoriously under studied.
And the issue isn't about someone acting on a victim.
@Dwatcheron@VCOLD6 So how does this support your original claim that the Lolita complex is experienced by the girl rather than the adult man?
You're providing evidence of the term's historical usage, but that evidence isn't establishing the definition you're arguing for.
@Dwatcheron@VCOLD6 That establishes that Trainer's book influenced Japanese usage of the term, which I haven't disputed.
But the manga applies the Lolita complex to Lewis Carroll, an adult man, in reference to his interest in young girls. Not to Alice being attracted to older men.
