Yesterday I went to a car washer to get my car cleaned. After he finished he looked at me and asked, Is there any hope that the reservation issue will ever be resolved? I was genuinely surprised. I asked him what made him ask.
He quietly told me that he too was a victim of the system that he had been left out of selections and believed excessive reservation was one of the reasons.
Then he said something that stayed with me, Jinaab this is where I ended up.
I asked about his qualification. He told me he has two postgraduate degrees.
I honestly didn’t know what to say. Behind every statistic is a person, a dream and years of hard work. Sometimes you meet them in the most unexpected places. Yesterday, I met one. 💔

The agriculture graduates of Kashmir are raising legitimate concerns over recruitment policies, including SRO-442 of 2017 and direct recruitment to JAEO posts. A government that cannot provide its educated youth a fair path to employment must answer for this failure. Their future deserves justice, not neglect.
