My dad is the one who buys foodstuffs in the house. He buys everything in large quantities. Everything! So we've never suffered for food. The only time he eats at home is dinner. Except for weekends. One day, he said he wanted yam because he bought it in large quantity the previous month. And we told him yam is finished. He asked, "All that yams?" We answered yes. His response was, " Oga oo, I didn't even eat from it." He just went out.

Heavenly Father,

In the stillness of this early hour, I come before You with a quiet heart, choosing to trust You. Your Word reminds me to trust in You with all my heart and not to lean on my own understanding. Lord, this morning I surrender my thoughts, my plans, and my expectations to You.

Father, there are moments when life feels uncertain—when things don’t go as planned, when doors close, and when delays come unexpectedly. In those moments, teach me not to be discouraged or frustrated. Instead, give me the grace to recognize Your hand at work. Help me to see that what I may call an interruption could be Your divine protection, and what I may call a delay could be Your perfect timing.

Lord, remove every anxiety within me. Silence every voice of doubt and confusion. Strengthen my faith so that even when I do not understand, I will still trust You completely. Help me not to rely on my limited perspective, but to rest in Your infinite wisdom.

Father, align my steps with Your will today. Order my path according to Your purpose. If You need to redirect me, give me a willing heart. If You need to slow me down, give me patience. If You need to use me as a blessing to someone else, make me available.

Teach me, Lord, to embrace every moment—whether planned or unexpected—as an opportunity to walk in obedience and faith. Let my life today reflect trust, not fear; peace, not frustration; surrender, not control.

I declare that this day is guided by You. Every step I take is ordered by Your hand. I will not be shaken by delays, discouraged by closed doors, or confused by interruptions—because You are leading me in the right path.
