I’m an up and coming younger man who grew up and came of age in the Chicago area. I’m about to enter a decent paying medical profession. Me and my wife want to have kids and are going to buy a house. But it will probably NOT be in Illinois. Not only has the local government made it absurdly unaffordable to raise a family here, it has also done its best to strip me of my rights to protect my home and family. I feel like barring a massive cultural shift, Illinois is too far gone.
