Scrap the J-1, OPT, H-1B, and, most importantly, the Diversity Lottery.
Completely reform the system to allow only the best, the most deserving, and in a strictly limited manner.
Immigration should be a privilege that is earned, not granted based on birthplace.
Grok fact-check: The claim that 80% of H-1B visa holders from India are "cheap labor" is misleading. Data shows nearly 70% of H-1B petitions for Indians in 2023 were for salaries below $100,000, but the median U.S. IT salary was $104,420. H-1B workers often fill STEM roles, complementing U.S. workers, though wage concerns persist. Congress sets visa limits, causing backlogs, especially for Indians, leading to extended H-1B stays.
In college admissions, if we say students from every race MUST get admissions (irrespective of SAT scores), then that's DEI.
In jobs, if we say people from every race MUST get jobs (irrespective of qualifications), then that's DEI.
In skilled immigration, if we say people from every national origin MUST get greencards (irrespective of skills), then that's _______ ??
The dark secret of U.S.-India immigration policy? Both sides benefit from keeping skilled immigrants in limbo. The U.S. exploits them as indentured tech workers. India welcomes them back as innovators. Trump and Modi won’t discuss this—but I did

Hey @elonmusk do you know what this table is & how many people & families it impact?
We can only reach you on X but If you get to talk to @AravSrinivas ,he can tell you how bad the situation is for these Legal High-skilled immigrants. 13 year long backlog 1.2 Million applicants in Doctors,Engineers & IT professionals.
We need @realDonaldTrump@POTUS to sign an EO to clear this #greencardbacklog .
@JDVance@VP@DOGE
@stephenehorn@legalHSKpanda Multiple sources who’ve requested anonymity have informed that they are happy and fortunate to have Indian doctors and engineers be part of the economy and community. They also confirmed that Indians are high earners, and Indian kids do well in STEM.
This is an adequate representation of the US high skilled #immigration system. The wait time is now in centuries. US is the only country in the world that has a "birth country" quota for high skilled immigrants.
I totally feel for the doctors on H1B who have spent 15 yrs in college/residency, paid taxes for 5+ yrs, served patients day/night and are waiting in 100 yr #greencardbacklog. Must feel like an absolute loser to see a random person from Lebanon with diversity lottery, to land in the US with GC! What a failed/broken immigration system. Completely hijacked by lawyers for H1B extn fees!

@DOGE this needs to be fixed on TOP priority! This unit has most laziest employees working under uscis administration 😮💨
75% of EB green cards go to workers and students who were already here. They and their immediate family members should be exempted from any numerical cap.
Indian Americans have the highest incomes, astonishingly low crime rates, stable families, & high educations. Some are my friends & neighbors.
Indian Americans are doing BETTER and I hope they stay that way by never fully assimilating. We can all learn from them.
People who say H-1B visa holders are “low-wage indentured servants” are misleading you or don’t know what they’re talking about.
The H-1B has minimum education requirements & the average wage is well over $100,000—more than the vast majority of people. Shame on Bernie Sanders.
With top priority on removing country cap.
Do you know there is no permanent residency category in USA immigration system which is purely based on merit?
Let that sink in!
Trump gets it.
Donald Trump: “If you graduate from a U.S. college—two-year, four-year, or doctoral—you should automatically get a green card to stay.
Too often, talented grads are forced to leave and start billion-dollar companies in India or China instead of here.
That success and those jobs should be in America."
Indias children are taught maths and usually excel. They win international contests. In America, math is considered racist. There's an explanation for why Indian nationals play such a big role in American tech.
If you’re an Indian in America, don’t kid yourself. Both political parties hate you because you’re successful.
One thinks you owe them. The other thinks you stole from them.
Disregard the haters and keep building.
